The stern and port quarter-gallery of what is thought to be the ‘Witte Eenhorn’, 32 guns, built 1636, last mentioned 1672. On the tafferel is a unicorn springing regardant. On the rail above is a faint reclining figure. There are no arms to indicate the admiralty.
A drawing in rapid pencil, possibly done by the Elder, but if the drawing is correctly dated by the subject and paper it is too freely yet accurately done for the Elder’s work in 1672. The absence of the flick of the pencil making the reflection under the stern also suggests that it is the work of the Younger.
