4th year apprentice Henry P. Bird and 4 colleagues on camels during a visit to a pyramid in Egypt. Bird is in the centre of the group and they are on a shore excursion from the Bank Line cargo vessel Trentbank (1929) which was in port at Suez from 10 December 1940 to 3 January 1941. This is a copy of the photographic print number 11 in Bird's photograph album No. 2 (ALB1406). Slide 37 from the "Apprentice Boy", Captain Henry P. Bird's lecture about his life as an apprentice for Bank Line in the period 1937-1941. The lecture consists of 39 slides.
