Shot Tower
A graphite drawing of the Thames, with Waterloo and Lambeth Bridges and the Shot Tower, built in 1826, on the south bank. Shot towers were used to be make shot for guns. Molten lead was dropped from the melting chamber at the top of the tower through sieves down to water at the bottom, where it hardened and formed into balls of shot.
