First Class Dining Saloon on the 'Rome' (1881)

Interior of the passenger liner 'Rome' (1881) showing the First Class Dining Saloon, on the Main Deck, a view of the central area, looking aft towards the buffet and the mast passing through the deck. The swivel chair design incorporates sea serpents and a scallop shell. The carved walnut panels came from the workshop of Carlo Cambi in Siena, Italy.
