First Class Dining Saloon on the 'Aquitania' (1914)

The Dining Saloon is decorated in the Etruscan style, a type of delicate, painted Neo-classical decoration, derived mainly from the shapes, motifs and colours of antique vases. Double doors through to the First Class Foyer can be seen in the distance.
The design of the interiors on the 'Aquitania' was largely the work of Arthur Joseph Davis (1878-1951) of the architects Mewès & Davis, London. The decoration of the First Class Dining Saloon was carried out by P. H. Rémon & Sons, Paris.
