Compass
An unprovenanced relic of Sir John Franklin's last expedition 1845-48. Parts of a pocket compass or other magnetic instrument. A steel bar rotated on a brass rod ending in a steel pivot. It is marked with the Royal Naval Museum, Greenwich number 7. The item was made by Robinson, Portland Place, London.
