Badge worn at the relief of Leyden, 1574 by Admiral Louis de Boisot's sailors. A crescent with a human face in profile on either side. Obverse: Legend; 'LI[E]VER TVRCX . DAN PAS[AV in one]' (Sooner Turk than Papist). Reverse: 'EN DESPIY' (crab) 'DELAMES[SE]' (despite the mass).
