Scabbard
Scabbard for small-sword, thought to have belonged to either Don Francisco Javier Martines de la Vega y Retes (active 1739), Governor of Portobello, Panama, or possibly Don Juan Francisco de Garganta (active 1739) the officer commanding the Iron Castle there when Portobello was taken by Admiral Edward ('Grog') Vernon in 1739. The black leather scabbard has a silver chape and two lockets with rings.
