The Museum's Caird Library is a comprehensive reference library and a rich research resource for all.

The Library has revised its opening hours due to the major redevelopment of the Museum's South West Wing, which will include a new Research centre.
The Museum has produced over 70 research guides covering the Museum's collections and other sources for research into maritime history.

When the Library re-opens in the Sammy Ofer Wing it will be open 40 hours a week, including every weekday and Saturday, and one late night a week.
The Museum is committed to making its collections available for current use and enjoyment, whilst preserving them for future generations.
The Museum subscribes to a range of resources to help you with your research. They are all available free of charge from the Library and E-Library.
