Portrait of Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton, 1874–1922 by Reginald Grenville Eves, 1921. This portrait was probably painted from life, before Shackleton set off on his final voyage, the Shackleton-Rowett Antarctic Expedition, in 1921. Not long after the start of the voyage, Shackleton died of a heart attack on 15 January 1922, at Grytviken, South Georgia. Repro ID: BHC3022.
