Scale: [circa 1:1,000,000]. Map showing the towns and rivers of the Cherokee indan Nation. Title enclosed in decorated cartouche. Staining visible on the middle top half of chart. Chart mounted on coarse paper, together with chart G246:2/70. This map was published in the London Magazine in February 1760 to accompany an article title 'Successful expedition of Gvernor Lyttleton against the Cherokee', describing how Lyttleton used military force to force the Cherokee into alliance with England rather than France. The map is inscribed "Engraved from an Indian Draught by T. Kitchin".
